The "Picasse" Project:

I have always been interested in history, particularly the history of my family. I am intrigued by where and how my ancestors lived. My family name is YOUNG and I grew up in Bay St. George on the west coast of Newfoundland. I am a descendant of Pierre LeJeune dit Briard, one of the original settlers at the Acadian settlement of Port Royal in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Being able to access, on line, the birth, marriage and death records of the Bay St. George region has been a tremendous help in my research. Many thanks to all those people who tracked down and transcribed the data.

I have only just started to research my family history and I would like to share the information that I have gathered so far. I am hoping that by sharing this information, other family researchers might be willing to share their findings. Here is the second cut of My Ancestors.

If you think that I have any information that might assist me with the Young family history, please e-mail me, at; young.ferraro@deja-vu.ca.

Other family names that I am researching include:

LeJeune, Boutilier, Curnew, Cornu, Carneau, Corneau, Marshe/Marche and Webb/King
